Hinds – British Mind

Hinds have had a action-packed 2018 – they released their second album I Don’t Run back in April to rapturous reviews;  the charisma and charm of their debut remained entirely intact whilst the band’s sound widened in scope and depth.  Since then they have toured across the globe and played at some of the best festivals in the summer calendar,  sharing their inimitable live to exuberant audiences.

Today the Madrid 4-piece share a brand new single titled “British Mind”, aptly named as they set their sights on a 17 date UK tour which will be the band’s longest and largest to-date,  including a very special one day curated mini-festival titled Party Planet at London’s 1,500 capacity EartH (Hackney Arts Centre) on Saturday 1st December,  the perfect round-off to the band’s colossal year. Tickets HEREYou can watch the sun soaked accompanying video for “British Mind” below, which sees the band making the most of roadside,  gas station limbo and in true Hinds tradition it fizzes with energy and a damn good time.

Hinds – Finally Floating Video

Hinds today release their highly anticipated new album I Don’t Run and in celebration share the video for “Finally Floating.” Perhaps the most bold and confident we’ve heard Hinds yet, “Finally Floating” revolves around a dance floor-ready beat as Carlotta Cosials and Ana Perrote exchange vocals like duelling bulls. “I’m feeling great ’till I’m laying in bed and all these random melodies sound again,” they cry while likening their experience to being trapped in suspended reality. The music video for “Finally Floating,” was directed by Wiissa and features a Hinds bike tour around their hometown of Madrid.

Hinds - Finally Floating

It’s been over two years since Hinds released their breakout debut album Leave Me Alone, and the band today release I Don’t Run, showcasing a bigger, better, faster, funnier, more dexterous Hinds. Co-produced by Hinds and Gordon Raphael and mixed by Shawn Everett, I Don’t Run is the product of a band fighting for their place, a band unwilling to rely upon their successes, a band who have just begun to prove themselves, and a band who plays hard but works even harder. With this second LP they continue their quest to own their narrative – one of sisters doing it for themselves. “We loved making this album,” says Ana Perrote. “We knew what we wanted and we have what we wanted. This is a new start for us and we’re fucking ready.” Buy I Don’t Run HERE.

Hinds – The Club Video

Hinds today share the Matthew Dillon Cohen video for current single ‘The Club’, taken from their highly anticipated forthcoming album ‘I Don’t Run’, out April 6. Pre-order I Don’t Run HERE.

The vibrant, colour-popping video showcases a perfect meeting of minds, with Cohen (who has directed videos for Goldlink, Lil Yachty, Gus Dapperton, and Clairo’s recent viral clip for ‘Flaming Hot Cheetos’) shooting Hinds at their most carefree on the ski slopes of Upstate New York – continuing the sports theme from their recent ‘New For You’ video – with après gigging, jet skis rides and partying in chalets. We wish we were there.

Hinds conquered SXSW last week with a whopping 14 shows, to be followed by a co-headlining US tour with Albert Hammond-Jr. They return to our shores this April as they bring I Don’t Run and their insanely fun live show across Europe. Be sure not to miss out, get your tickets HERE.

Hinds also announce tour dates today – this April they will bring I Don’t Run and their insanely fun live show across Europe. You can find a show near you and get your tickets HERE.

To celebrate the announce, Hinds also share I Don’t Run’s first single, “New For You”, with a music video that sees the band dominate the fútbol field.

Of their self-directed music video Cosials says: “I thought it cannot be more Spanish (football) and that it cannot be more a male sport, and that it is good to present a different gender-reality without even trying hard. I think sports are such a good metaphor with life, with goals, passion and suffer.”

Hinds – Caribbean Moon

Hinds are back with a fun-loving cover of “Caribbean Moon”, originally a calypso-tinged 70’s gem by Kevin Ayers, of Soft Machine.

In the vein of their previous cover and live favourite “Davey Crockett (Gabba Hey)”, by Thee Headcoats, the Spanish quartet have injected some much needed vitality into the few remaining weeks of Summer with “Caribbean Moon”.

Hinds will be back in the UK next week for shows in Edinburgh and at Green Man Festival and have also recently announced a Spanish tour for this November.

“Caribbean Moon” is available to buy and stream from today, Friday 11th August.
