Ramona Gonzalez, better known as Nite Jewel, Zoe Kravitz (Lolawolf), and Samantha Urbani (Friends) have teamed up to cover “Don’t Turn Me Away,” by  Rexy, giving the track a ‘80s-derived, R&B spin, that’s dripping with West Coast cool. The wonderful ‘Running Out of Time’ by Rexy is released today. Our first ever reissue – really proud and thrilled to hopefully introduce this special overlooked album to a new generation of music lovers and obsessives.

Ahead of our reissue of London duo Rexy’s only album, Running Out of Time, this Friday 18^th March, prolific lo-fi maestro, and fan of the band, Ariel Pink has collaborated with dream-pop duo Puro Instinct on this amazing cover of ‘In The Force’. Giving the original an enhanced hint of sun-drenched Californian life, it’s premiering today on Dazed Digital, and features alongside an interview led by Samantha Urbani in conversation with Rexy’s lead singer, Rex Nayman.

Very excited to announce our first ever reissue from London duo Rexy, and their debut album Running Out Of Time (ROOT), in conjunction with Samantha Urbani (of Friends) new URU label. Originally released in 1981 and long since out of print, the LP has become a coveted find for fans of leftfield pop, and through the rewards of its wry, forward-looking song-craft, has been championed by the likes of current artists such as Ariel Pink, Joey Negro, Connan Mockasin and MGMT.   More information on the release here.
