Hinds – Deluxe Album and Bamboo Animation

Hinds today announce a deluxe version of their debut LP. Not only featuring b-sides and rarities, Leave Me Alone Deluxe offers a unique and never-before-seen peek into the world of Hinds with cell phone demos. These demos – which were never meant to be heard by anyone but Hinds – give fans an exclusive look into the band’s song-writing process as they created their critically acclaimed, perfectly imperfect debut. Leave Me Alone Deluxe will be released on October 28th on double CD and Vinyl only. Pre-order the album now via Rough Trade, or the band’s webstore.

To celebrate the announcement Hinds are also sharing a brand new animated video for “Bamboo.” Directed by Laurina Paperina, the video’s deceptively cute illustrations bely a hilariously dark, devious tale of rampant mischief from our four favourite Madrileñas.

Hinds will shortly be playing their biggest live shows to date, including a show at Kentish Town Forum in London.

Hinds – Warts Video and Tour Announce

Hinds today unveil the video for “Warts”, the fourth single to be taken from their critically acclaimed debut album “Leave Me Alone”.  The video is set in Barcelona, using the magnificent Walden7 building and the city’s port as the backdrop, and was directed by Pedro Martin-Calero and produced by CANADA and Colonel Blimp. The brilliantly surreal and vibrant visual tells the story of a boy who is love with a girl that the band can see is no good for him, a femme fatale.

Discussing the video concept and song’s lyrics Hinds ask “have you ever seen a couple that shouldn’t be a couple? Have you ever seen your friend’s girlfriend’s warts before he does? In love like in war it aint no rules. And she knows. She knows it well… She is gonna beat him bad, but he only hears parabarabaraba….

Hinds – Easy Video

Hinds with their new video for “Easy”, directed by John Strong, showcase a darker, more emotional side to their music. The video centres on the self-annihilation that follows a breakup, with each member of the band spiralling downwards into abuse and addiction, in increasingly graphic ways. The final shots show a sliver of redemption though, with the band slowly but surely reclaiming their strength and independence, and the blooming of a rose showing the promise of a new beginning on the horizon.
