Joy Again – Looking Out For You Video

The FADER  has premiered the debut video from Philadelphia’s Joy Again. The clip for “Looking Out For You”, their debut single, was directed, filmed and edited by Sydney Shore and the band’s own Sachi DiSerafino, who also stars as the video’s protagonist. It’s a charming slice of DIY film-making that shows off the band’s wit, ambitions and their home city of Philadelphia. It also stars the band’s friends George Quinn, as Sachi’s love interest, and Nick Pedro as his love rival.

Darwin Deez – The Mess She Made Video

Darwin Deez is about to head out on a month-long North American tour next week in support of his third album Double Down, and today he shares the music video for  “The Mess She Made.” Another incredibly clever addition to his existing catalogue of highly original music videos, “The Mess She Made” works Darwin right into the proverbial ‘money shot’ as director Oscar Hudson – in a clear labor of hand-made love – fits international bank notes and bills to fit Darwin’s curly-haired, head banded face. Quite fittingly, Wall Street Journal has the exclusive premiere of the money-themed video.

Joy Again – Looking Out For You

We are thrilled to announce that we will be releasing the debut single, from Joy Again on January 15th, 2016. Super limited to just 300 copies worldwide the vinyl can be pre-ordered hereOur friends at Mermaid Avenue/Mom+Pop will be releasing in the US.

Joy Again is a lo-fi recording project initially started by Sachi DiSerafino and Arthur Shea, both 18, turned full band with the addition of Sean Henry (23), Blaise O’Brien (16), and Logan Burke (17). The five boys all hail from different parts of Pennsylvania (and also New York City) and the youthfulness of the group evidently plays a part in the creation of their inherently fun and unique music.

After catching Shamir’s eye, the XL Recordings artist decided he had to get involved and he now manages the band. Shamir describes the guys as “Extremely aware of the world around them, dangerously smart and super mature without leaving behind that playfulness that a lot of people lose once they start to enter adult life.”

Joy Again recorded their debut AA single ‘Looking Out for You / How You Feel’ in the Red Bull Studios in New York with Producer Caleb Laven this summer.   Lead track ‘Looking Out For You’, available digitally now, is a bouncy tune lead by banjo and sweet harmonies, and once the chorus hits you can’t help but drop everything and clap along.  It’s a winner, check it out below.

Hinds – San Diego + Album Launch Party

Hinds today release another infectious shot of musical serotonin with their forthcoming single “San Diego”, a gorgeous slice of two and a half minute pop which shows the four piece’s ridiculously effortless way with an addictive hook and harmonized vocal. It’s equal parts Ty Segall and Black Lips, Phil Spector and The Shirelles, but, in the final analysis, utterly and wholly Hinds.

Hinds on “San Diego”: “we all have bad days. we mean bad nights. one day a friend told us ‘I don’t wanna fall asleep because I know what’s the dream about.’ this song is about staying awake. just staying awake.”

Hinds will also play two very special, wristband only, launch events to celebrate the release of “Leave Me Alone” on January 11th 2016, at Rough Trade East, followed immediately by another show and party at the Ace Hotel, in conjunction with Sister Ray.

Oscar – Breaking My Phone Video
